Get Involved In Teach Access Europe

Teach Access Europe expands the successful Teach Access U.S. model to universities across Europe and the UK. Its goal is to ensure that students across all disciplines graduate with a core understanding of disability, accessibility, and inclusive design, enabling them to build accessible technology as they enter the workforce.

We currently have three working groups and invite academia, industry, disability movement, foundations, and policymakers to partner with us to drive systemic change. Together, we can scale accessibility education, strengthen the talent pipeline, and ensure technology is designed inclusively from the start. Working groups include

  • Community, Strategy & Sustainability: Focusing on visibility and funding.
  • Teaching, Learning & Workforce: Co-develops materials through university- industry partnerships and creates education-to-employment pipelines.
  • Accreditation, Policy & Research: Advocated for mandatory accessibility in courses and engages with policy stakeholders.

If you or someone you know is interested in getting involved, the form below has six short-answer questions and one multiple-choice question asking for details about the primary contact of interest and how you would like to get involved. Accessibility, Ethics, & AI

The Teach Access Alumni Network is excited to host a moderated panel discussion about Accessibility, Ethics, & AI, on Wednesday, August 5, from 1-2 pm ET. Join us along with Ariana Aboulafia, Disability Rights in Technology Policy Project at the Center for Democracy & Technology; Jutta Treviranus, Director of the Inclusive Design Research Centre (IDRC) and professor in the faculty of Design at OCAD University in Toronto; and Rolando Méndez, Director of Education, Teach Access. All three panelists recently contributed chapters to Digital Accessibility Ethics: Disability Inclusion in All Things Tech, published earlier this year (see above).

The image is a promotional graphic for a virtual panel discussion titled "Accessibility, Ethics, & AI," hosted by the Teach Access Alumni Network. At the top, the logo of Teach Access is displayed, featuring an arch design. Below the logo, the title of the event is presented in a large, bold font. Following that, there is a brief description indicating that it is a virtual, moderated panel discussion.

The right side of the image features three circular portraits of the panelists: Ariana Aboulafia, Jutta Treviranus, and Rolando Méndez. Each portrait is accompanied by the name and title of the individual beneath it. The background is divided into a light blue and dark blue color scheme, providing contrast and enhancing readability. The date and time of the event are displayed towards the bottom of the image, along with a Zoom registration link.
