The Teach Access Fellowship is a year-long professional development program designed for faculty and academic support staff at colleges and universities in the United States and Puerto Rico. Teach Access Fellows:
Learn from leading experts in accessibility and disability inclusion
Receive mentorship from professionals in academia and industry
Collaborate with a network of educators committed to advancing accessibility in higher education
Develop and implement innovative ways to teach accessibility in your courses
Receive a stipend to support their Fellowship work
Fellows commit to approximately five hours per month, including participation in 12 synchronous Zoom sessions (seven in the spring and five in the fall) and asynchronous work foxcused on building and implementing curricular materials. In the spring, Fellows explore the foundations of disability and accessibility and plan how to teach these concepts. Over the summer, they develop at least two teaching materials with support from Teach Access. In the fall, Fellows focus on delivering accessibility content to students and strategizing how to integrate accessibility into their curriculum.
