The Teach Access Board of Directors continues to expand, and now welcomes Sam Latif.

Sam is Procter & Gamble’s first Company Accessibility Leader, tasked with ensuring the company’s 65+ global brands are inclusive and accessible to the 15% of people worldwide living with disabilities. Her drive for accessibility is deeply personal, as she was born with retinitis pigmentosa, a rare genetic condition that left her with just 3% vision by the age of 16.

Sam built a successful IT career after joining P&G in 2000, while also using her experiences to advocate for greater awareness of the challenges faced by people with disabilities. She established an employee network and launched the Disability Challenge, helping senior leaders understand barriers through hands-on simulations of everyday tasks.

In 2015, Sam transitioned from IT to a role focused entirely on accessibility, and in 2019, she became Senior Director with the formal title of Company Accessibility Leader. Through this position, she has been instrumental in driving innovation that makes P&G’s products more inclusive, such as packaging improvements for people with visual or dexterity impairments.

For her contributions to accessibility, Sam was recognised as a top innovator by Forbes’ Accessibility 100 list in 2025, an A Lister for Allure in 2022, and with the Helen Keller Achievement Award in 2020.

Sam is married with three children, a first-generation Scottish Pakistani, and currently lives in Surrey, where she continues to balance her personal life with her mission to champion accessibility on a global scale.
